the challenge

ScanAvenger needed a webshop that also handled order management, with country-specific pricing and invoicing in the requirements from the start.

The storefront has to be simple enough that a buyer in any country reaches checkout without thinking about currency or tax, while the back office has to hold stock across warehouses and the status of every order in flight.

objectives

A webshop that is easy to buy from and easy to run.
Price and invoice correctly per country, without the customer doing the work.
Keep stock and order status in the same system the customer bought from.

our solution

React, GraphQL and TypeScript.

On the storefront, the shop detects a customer's country or lets them pick one, prices in their currency and invoices with the right VAT. Internationalization and coupon generation run across every market. Google Ads and Facebook Pixel are wired in.

Order management runs in one place. Stock data arrives from the warehouses, new orders raise an alert, shipments are tracked, and stock or shipment status can be changed with a notification going out on the change.

The person handling an order and the customer who placed it are looking at the same record.
