the challenge

VRon came to us for a virtual reality platform that changes how merchants show products, giving customers an environment close to real shopping.

Merchants already have storefronts, catalogues and customers arriving at them. A virtual store on a separate site is a demo, and a virtual store that needs a 3D team to fill it is one that never gets filled.

Let merchants build virtual stores for their products.
Keep authoring within reach of the person who knows the catalogue.
Open the virtual store from the existing storefront rather than alongside it.

our solution

We built two halves.

The first is the environment merchants use to assemble a store: laying out the space and placing products in it, so the person who knows the catalogue is the person arranging the shelves.

The second is the integration. VRex drops into a merchant's existing site, and a customer moves between the normal storefront and the virtual one without leaving.

VRon and its merchants have given the platform positive feedback, and the work continues.
